WORK
VORTEX (working English title)
Creator: Beifeng Theatre
Recorded performance: 12 March 2022, Beijing, China
Record type: surviving continuous camera record
Duration: 01:06:20
ARCHIVAL NOTE
This record joins the earliest surviving iPhone coverage to three subsequent DJI camera segments. The first surviving image begins after the action is already under way, and the final surviving segment ends inside the active performance space. It therefore does not claim to preserve the work's absolute opening or ending. Original live sound is retained; no AI narration has been added.
The work emerged from approximately one month of collective creation. Bodies, loose pages, colored light, exposed speech, and the repeated collapse of the performer-spectator boundary turn the room into an unstable event. The camera is not outside that event; it becomes another body caught inside it.
